Merak is one of the stars in the constellation Ursa Major and became the name of the newest Maserati car in 1972. In the period from 1972 to 1983, 1830 cars were produced.
The Merak, with its mid-placed V6 engine of 2965cc, produced 187hp and has a top speed of 240 km/h due to it’s low weight and drag. Citroen had a great deal of influence on the mechanics of the car and owns it transmission and suspension and even its dashboard (SM) to this French brand.
Today the Merak is highly sought after and not easy to find. This particular car is finished in spectacular yellow with a black leather interior. The car is in great shape and the engine purrs like a kitten, ehhm, more like a foracious lion. Its color and its sound will make sure that this is a real head turner.
